The Pacific Northwest Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate, (PNW-COSMOS), invites AGEP participants–Principal Investigators, Researchers, and Directors–to attend the 2019 AGEP National Conference, Diverse Pathways in STEM: Achieving the Dream, to be held May 19-21, 2019, at the Coeur d’Alene Resort, on the shores of beautiful Lake Coeur d’Alene, ID. Conference registration is now open at www.uidaho.edu/agep2019. Early conference registration rate is $400 until April 15, registration after April 15 is $450.
The 2019 AGEP National Conference will provide professional development opportunities to advance diverse STEM career pathways into the professoriate, a forum for AGEP model components that show potential for reproducibility, scalability and sustainability, and an update on NSF strategic priorities, policies, and procedures that foster broadening participation in STEM doctoral programs and the professoriate. Additionally, the meeting will highlight a few of the unique components which have been develop by the PNW-COSMOS alliance in their work with Native American graduate students.
At this year’s national AGEP research meeting, the opportunity for AGEP PIs and Co-PIs to present their research will be available through combined lightning talks and poster presentations. Please note that the deadline for poster submissions is Feb. 15 and notification of acceptance will be by March 1st. The conference leadership is encouraging each AGEP Alliance to submit an abstract as soon as possible.
